The combination of ceramic fiber module with ceramic fiber blanket is the common installation method for the lining of the furnace. Ceramic fiber blanket is often used as the backing lining materials. A layer or two of ceramic fiber blanket is first placed against the furnace shell, and then to install the ceramic fiber module. This method has the advantage of effective thermal insulation for the furnace. It can reduce the external heat radiation and improve of the surrounding environment. Ceramic fiber module has excellent chemical stability, heat stability and resilience. After installation of the ceramic fiber module in furnace and then removing the strapping tapes of the modules, the modules expand and tightly close together. This makes no gaps among the modules, so that it can greatly increase the performance of thermal insulation, excellent thermal shock resistance and thermal stability.
Ceramic fiber module is very simple to install. After short period of training, the workers can do the installation job. Compared with the traditional construction method of fire brick and castable lining materials, it can save a lot of time. It does not need to bake after installation. The installation and fixing of the module is through a stainless anchor which is pre embedded in the module. This kind of installation is very strong.
