Owens Corning (Guangzhou) Fiberglass Co., Ltd. was established in 1994  in Guangzhou,Chinaand formally put into operation in 1995. The company adopts the most advanced fiberglass production technology and supplies glass wool thermal insulation blanket, board and shell to the market in South China. It exports its products to Southeast Asia as well.

In 1996, Shanghai Owens-Corning Fiberglass Co., Ltd. began to put into operation to provide services for the growing East China market.

In 1997, Owens Corning (China) Investment Co., Ltd. was formally established.

In 1999, Owens Corning (Nanjing) Building Materials Co., Ltd. put into operation. It is the first plant to produce extruded polystyrene rigid foam board insulation products inChina. The products are used for commercial buildings and residential roofing, walls and roofs. In 2002, the company added a FOAMULAR-METRIC extruded foam board production line in order to increase production capacity to meet the market demand for energy-saving products.

In the same year, Owens Corning Composites (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. started production. The company is mainly engaged in the design, production, processing and sales of glass fiber composite materials and products. It also provides technical consultation and after sales services to the customers.

In 2004, Owens Corning (Jiangyin) Building Materials Co., Ltd. was established in Jiangyin, Jiangsu Province,China to manufacture artificial stones for the exterior decoration purpose.

Owens Corning (Tianjin) Building Materials Co., Ltd. was established in 2004 in Tianjin,China, producing glass wool thermal insulation materials, serving the entire East China market.

In 2005, the company set up the Asia Pacific Science and Technology Center in Shanghai to provide the services of technical support and application methods to customers in China as well as in other Asia Pacific Region.

At present, Owens Corning has 5 construction materials plants, 1 composite materials plant and many offices in China. Its sales networks cover all over China. The number of employees in China is about 1000. The total investment amounts to USD120 million.
