Ceramic fiber blanket, also called aluminum silicate fiber blanket, is a kind of insulation material commonly used in petrochemical, metallurgical, power generation and other industries. In order to use them conveniently, for example to use them in any time when required, some customers usually buy a large quantity of ceramic fiber blankets for spare use. Then, how should the extra ceramic fiber blankets be stored? We believe many users face this problem. For this reason, we will introduce several storage methods.   

First, store the ceramic fiber blankets in a dry place. Do not store them in a humid warehouse. When the ceramic fiber needled blankets meet water, it will immediately reduce or lose thermal insulation property. Therefore, how to prevent moisture and wet during storage is very important. At the same time, don’t expose them to the sun, which will also affect the property of the ceramic fiber blankets. Store them in suitable environment condition to avoid cracking or mildew, so that they can keep the good thermal insulation property.  

When stored indoors, the product should be placed on a pallet. Don’t place it on the ground. Don’t let it directly touch the ground or the floor. It should be stored at least 20mm from the ground or the floor.

During the rainy season, it is necessary to use a canvas or other waterproof materials to cover the blankets to protect them from rain water. We should pay attention to water seepage on the wall. The places where store the blankets should not leak or seep out.

Although ceramic fiber blankets can resist many chemical substances, we can not put them with strong alkali and strong acid when we store them. If we put them together with strong alkali or acid, it will lead to the failure of the blanket function and damage the blanket.

Before storing the blankets, we must clean the warehouse to keep it away from dust. Do not let the blankets placed in the dirty environment, so that we can keep the product clean and not affect its function. For unopened ceramic fibre blankets that haven’t been used for a long time, be careful not to open them if we don’t intend to use them. In addition, when the ceramic fiber blankets have been stored for a long time, it is necessary to test the effect of the blankets before use and to avoid unnecessary trouble caused by poor effect.
