Ceramic fiber blanket has low thermal conductivity, high temperature resistance and does not contain any organic binders, so its thermal insulation property is very stable. It is mainly used as lining materials in high temperature furnaces, kilns, heat equipments, etc. Ceramic fiber blanket is not only a high temperature resistant material, but also is a cold insulation material. It can be used as pipeline wrapping material for heat and cold insulation purposes and can protect the pipes from hot and cold weather resistance, wind erosion, etc. When the blanket is used at high or low temperature conditions, its tensile strength is very high.
Ceramic fiber blanket has thermal shock resistance. It is soft, light in weight and can withstand rapid change under high temperature in furnaces. It can protect the high temperature furnaces and equipments from thermal shock, ensure safe production and extend the furnace and equipment service life.
Ceramic fiber blanket has excellent corrosion resistance property. Its chemical property is not active and will not react with many chemical substances. It is a non metallic material and don’t rust and corrode, protecting the furnaces, kilns and other high temperature equipments from corrosion caused by chemical substances.
Ceramic fiber blanket is an energy saving product. It is a porous material which contains more than 90% porosity. The tiny pores of the blanket are filled with air. Since the air is a poor conductor of heat, it can reduce the heat loss, maintain good thermal insulation and save energy.
Ceramic fiber blanket is also an excellent sealing insulation material which is used to seal furnace doors, valves, flanges, fire doors, etc. The blanket is very soft and can be used as wrapping or covering material for fireproof cable, motor and instrument insulation. It can be used as high temperature fireproof material, high temperature expansion joint filler and flue lining. It also can be made into high temperature filtration material, sound absorption material, etc.
